OrCCCa: Welcome to Talk City Jackie! When was your latest novel "Dangerous Kiss" released and where will you be headed for book signings?

Jackie Collins: I'm delighted to be here! And delighted to be speaking to all the people who have read my books. And even all the people who haven't! The book was released two weeks ago, and is already on the New York Times Best Sellers List, I am happy to say. I am not doing any official book signings, but I will be going around Los Angeles signing in most of the book stores.

Pinkelleis: How long did it take to write "Dangerous Kiss", and are you working on another Lucky Santangelo book? I LUV this character!

Jackie Collins: Pinkelleis, I love this character too! She is fascinating to write about. She does all the things women would like to do, and don't dare! She will certainly be back in future books. Because Lucky is so interesting to write about. She's sexy and strong - an unbeatable combination!

Fafhrd: Will Lucky get involved with any of her leading men from the studio?

Jackie Collins: Fafhrd - Well, that's what "Dangerous Kiss" is all about. However, Lenny, her husband, is still around. And Lucky believes in fidelity. If anything should happen to Lenny, then Lucky might get involved with someone else. She is very attracted to the film director in "Dangerous Kiss" Alex Woods, but she skirts the attraction because of her love for Lenny.

Greengenes: You are a prolific writer Ms. Collins! How do you manage to come up with so many great stories?

Jackie Collins: Greengenes - Writing is the true passion of my life. I love what I do, and I have been writing stories since I was a little kid. Living in Hollywood, inspiration is around me at all times. But the truth is always stranger than fiction - so although I write fiction, it's really the truth toned down!

Misha888: I haven't read the book yet, but did you get your idea of the White House scandal from the recent happenings there?

Jackie Collins: Misha888 - I was going to send Lucky to Washington. But when the scandal erupted, I changed my mind. When the Starr Report came out, I received many press clippings which said, "This is like a page from a Jackie Collins Book." My reply was, "If it was a page from one of my books, the sex would be a lot better!"
