CCCMyst: Talk City Presents in association with BoxTop Live (tm) Welcomes You to Tonight's Feature Presentation Welcome, Matt McCoy. Talk City Presents is a joint production of BoxTop(tm) Live & Talk City(tm) Welcome, Matt McCoy!

Matt McCoy: Hi, it's great to be here!

Georgia: What made you want to be an actor? And what was your first gig?

Matt McCoy: Well I was fortunate enough to know what I wanted to do at a very early age. I started acting in high school, at about 16 years old, when I graduated from high school I went on the road and did musical comedy for two years then segued into television and film. I've been very, very fortunate to work as I have for the past 22 years. My first television show was in 1979, it was a children's series on NBC called "Hot Hero Sandwich."

Connor: You seem to have played some interesting characters in movies and TV, do you have a favorite part/movie/TV show that you've done?

Matt McCoy: Well, I think the part in “Hand That Rocks the Cradle” was the most satisfying part to play. The whole process from rehearsal to shooting the picture to it receiving the accolades that it did was very gratifying Creatively, “Hand that Rocks the Cradle” was the best time I've ever had.

Win: I liked your part on "Star Trek TNG," what was it like on the set? How was it doing something that seems to have become an icon of sorts?

Matt McCoy: Star Trek was a very interesting situation. I did not know the show when they cast me in that part! And when I arrived on the set, the first day, ten minutes later we were doing the love scene! It was a large bucket of ice water, to start off the work with that scene! I had a wonderful time doing it, and had no idea that something like that would endure as it has! I have since seen Deanna Troy, played by Martina Sirtis, and she looks as beautiful today as she did when we shot it. That was about 6 or 7 years ago, and I still today get more mail from "Star Trek" fans than anyone else!
