JaxCCC: TalkCity Presents(tm), in association with BOXTOP LIVE(tm) Welcomes You! Tonight please our special guest is Singer/Songwriter Lisa Loeb! Without further ado, let’s welcome Lisa!

Sliatt: Where were you the first time you heard "Stay" on the radio?

Lisa Loeb: I think I was in a car in Houston, Texas, on the way to a radio promotion to play at a woman's house at 7 in the morning. It was an event for the radio station that first played my song called KREB.

Keepes: Where were you born?

Lisa Loeb: I was born in Bethesda, Maryland.

Heyday: Why the name Nine Stories?

Lisa Loeb: Ah, I thought it sounded like a cool band name, and the short stories written by JD Salinger have an interesting tone, which I feel a connection to.

Sliatt: Will you ever record a duet with Counting Crows or Lyle Lovitt?

Lisa Loeb: Hopefully at some point! I love touring them, and we'll see what happens! Lyle was almost in my video the other day but we ran overtime and weren't able to use him.

Larren: Who taught you to finger pick on the guitar, Lisa?

Lisa Loeb: Probably my friend Almadoll first of all, and then my guitar teacher in Dallas taught me more, then my friend Dan Seiden of the Round Band also influenced me in my picking style.

Jefrow: What is your favorite song you have written?

Lisa Loeb: Oh gosh, I don't usually think about that but maybe "Falling in Love" or "Jake.”
